Surroundings
Hotel New York is situated on Wilhelmina Pier, which is separated from Rotterdam’s city centre by the Maas river. The Dutch Museum of Photography, the LantarenVenster venue and the new Luxor theatre are also situated on Wilhelmina Pier. In the so-called ‘Shipping Quarter’ and its surroundings, directly across from the hotel, various restaurants and museums are situated, including the Boijmans Van Beuningen museum, Kunsthal, the World Museum, the Rotterdam Museum of Natural History and the Euromast tower. This part of the city centre can be reached easily by water taxi stopping at Veerhaven. Most shops are situated at a small distance from Hotel New York. The water taxi stopping at Leuvehaven, next to the Maritime Museum, is an excellent way to get there.
